Jill, originally from Gloucester, MA, has lived in Telluride since 1978 and over the years, has been involved in the Telluride community on many fronts. Jill met her husband Bill Masters here in Telluride, where Bill has been the County Sheriff for over 25 years. She has watched Telluride and Mountain Village grow from a sleepy mining town surrounded by sheep ranches to the booming ski resort with renowned summer festivals that we know today.
Jill is prepared and capable of handling any type of real estate transaction imaginable and has a reputation of being professional, ethical and results oriented. She was the 2012 President of Telluride Association of Realtors and has served on the board as a C.A.R Director since 2007. Jill was voted 2012 Realtor of the Year by her fellow brokers in the area and was also awarded the 2009 and 2011 Community Realtor of the Year in recognition of her years of service to the Telluride and Realtor communities. As a Realtor, she contributes to the First Time Home-buyers fund, Hoot Brown scholarship fund, Colorado Flights Alliance and Habitat for Humanity. Jill is also a Paramedic with the Telluride Fire Protection District. In her many years in Telluride, she has been an EMT instructor, Nordic ski instructor, San Miguel County Deputy Sheriff and Search and Rescue Member–a background she has put to good use in raising her four children here. .
Jill has served on Telluride Town Council as well as on the Ecology Commission, Telluride Housing Authority and as a liaison to HARC. Jill’s association with the Historic Architectural Review Commission helped preserve Telluride’s Historic Landmark designation, making sure Telluride maintains its quality of development without sacrificing local affordable housing or open space. Jill is devoted to preserving what keeps Telluride unique. She is currently serving on the Telluride TV Board (our local non-profit public television channel 12).
Jill is a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist and a Certified International Property Specialist. She was also Telluride’s first Eco-Broker, completing advanced training to better educate investors about a property’s energy efficiency, indoor air quality and health, and potential energy conservation tax breaks. In her free time she enjoys hiking, skiing, both cross country skate skiing and downhill, and is an avid road bike rider in the summer. “Every day I feel so fortunate to call Telluride home.
